Help Me Lord!
When I cry out “help me, Lord” He steps into my life through the comfort of the Holy Spirit and His Word. Sometimes I forget to go to my Bible when troubles seem to be swallowing me whole, so I created this chart as a visual reminder – please feel free to print it out. I’ll be sharing it as part of a lesson for the women’s group I facilitate at my church soon. By having the chart laminated for them, they can keep it handy at all times and use the emotion they are experiencing to lead them to God’s promises and encouragement.
So many of you know about Bible Gateway search box, but just in case you’re new to studying God’s Word on your own, it’s very easy and productive. Let’s say you want to look up all passages on the word WAIT. You go to their website (click here) and in the search box at the top, just type in the word wait or any word you want to examine. You’ll be amazed at how many references God’s Word has for you.
God doesn’t speak to us about everything in His Word, but much can be applied as a result of the wisdom you gain when you study what He does have to say. And when in doubt, always pray because the Spirit of God abides in you and will give you direction, which is often found in a sense of peace when you’re on the right path, or uneasiness when He is guiding you away from something.
