New Things Have Come ~ 2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

2 Corinthians 5:17

2 Corinthians 5:17 is one of those amazing verses that help me know who I am in Christ! I’m not the Becky of my past but am a brand new creature!
What is it about the thin line on the clock that separates December 31 and January 1 that give me a new sense of hope? Hope to start all over, to experience new things, to look for 365 brand new beginnings.
As believers, our real hope is found in Jesus. We are brand new when we ask Jesus into our lives. The ‘old us’ is left in the dust, and God has so many incredible things in store for the ‘new us.’

Each new year I pick one word to live out the best I can.  I’m ultra aware of the word all year and continually asking the Spirit of God to use it in my life. Past years words include trust, wait, love, joy, abide, and persevere. This year I sensed the Lord leading me to select the word wisdom. The verse I picked is James 1:5. Maybe you’d like to pick a word to live by this year too. If you do, share it with us!
