3 Cords Of Human Kindness

Hosea 11:4

I led them with cords of human kindness,
with ties of love.
To them I was like one who lifts
a little child to the cheek,
and I bent down to feed them.

What a beautiful picture of how the Lord lavishes His Love on us! The cord reminds me of the strength of a braid and how the strands are woven together.

Relationships are woven together, and the strength is determined by the past, what is present and the future.

Thanksgiving prayer:

Lord, I am so thankful for your tender care and for the way you have lifted me to your cheek and bent down to feed me. You have led me in the past, Lord, with cords of human kindness, with ties of love. Lord, I ask that you help me to see those who have hurt me the way that you see them and bring me to a place of thanksgiving for how You will work all things together for good. Thank you for the family who raised me in all their humanness.

Lord, I am thankful to be able to enjoy this present moment surrounded by friends and family and to share our thanks for your wonderful works. Lord God, let us savor these moments together and cherish the time we have as it is so fleeting. Lord, I pray for those who are not surrounded by human love on this day that they would know your unconditional love and be blessed by your grace and mercy upon their lives.

Father God, We are thankful, Lord, that we do not have to worry about the future because you have it covered. Lord, we are so grateful that you have ordained every detail of the path we will walk, where we will stumble and where we will soar. Thank you, Lord, that our salvation is secure and that we can know you this side of heaven for all the days we walk on this earth.

Continue to lead us with cords of human kindness, with ties of love. In Jesus name, Amen.
