Bible in a Year
WORD ALIVE in 365
Welcome to the Joyful Times Today chronological study of the Bible in a year, complete with three inspirational graphics. We’re so glad you are joining us!
CHOOSE YOUR TRANSLATION
Before we dive in, please know this is not a place to debate over which translation of the Bible is original. The truth is, the original books of God’s Word are written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. All other translations came from transcribers. Some believers love the King James Version, others the English Standard Version, New American Standard Bible, New International Version, or New Living Translation. Let’s joyfully respect one another and embrace our differences. We are all made uniquely and are brothers and sisters in Christ who love Jesus. ♥
Each day will list the chapters to be read in a link to Bible Gateway. Click on the blue highlighted chapter to read online, or use your own Bible. Bible Gateway offers dozens of translations in many languages, so enjoy searching for your favorite.
If you want an English translation very close to the original, try the KJV, NKJV, ESV, or NASB. If you want an easy to read English translation, try the NLT. However, it is most important that you use the one that will keep you actively reading.
Once you click on the chapter link, the set translation is for the ESV (Engish Standard Version) but you can use the drop down menu to find one that suits you best.
