Bless the Lord ~ Matt Redman

10,000 Reasons to Bless the Lord

Matt Redman is another of my favorite vocalists. I’ve always called this song Bless the Lord but in fact, Matt calls it 10,000 Reasons. It’s from his album by the same name, and he co-wrote the song with Jonas Myrin[1], and the song was the #1 single in 2012. Well done, Matt!

I like to listen to this song when I’m needing to spend time praising God for all He has done. It’s a great morning song, before my quiet time alone with God, and I have it downloaded on my iPhone.

Listen and be blessed!

Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name

The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning
It’s time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes

You’re rich in love, and You’re slow to anger
Your name is great, and Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find

And on that day when my strength is failing
The end draws near and my time has come
Still my soul will sing Your praise unending
Ten thousand years and then forevermore

(Chorus x2)

Jesus, I’ll worship Your holy name
Lord, I’ll worship Your holy name

Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name
Jesus, I’ll worship Your holy name
I’ll worship Your holy name
