Evening Prayer ~ April 7

Prayer is giving back

Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like gift wrapping a present and not giving it.1

William Arthur Ward

Evening prayer time stills our hearts and reminds up to take time to express our gratitude, giving it to the Lord with simplicity and love. Prayer’s don’t need to be full of thees, thous, and thists nor do they need to be boring and lengthy; but they should be full of joy and life. God knows the detials already, we don’t need to catch Him up on our situation. Pray as though you are talking with your best friend . . . because you are!

1I give you thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart;
before the gods I sing your praise;
2I bow down toward your holy temple
and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name aand your word.2

Psalms 138:1-2
