Prayer brings peace
Praying is not just saying words; rather, God gives us prayer as a way to engage with Him in our hearts and minds amidst the stresses and pressures of our days.1
Stressed and feeling pressure building like a tea kettle, I don’t have the energy to pray, or frankly, the words. Instead, I whisper “Lord.” Quietly, my heart cries out to Him, and He hears me. Sorting through the jumbled words racing in my over active mind, He sends a soothing balm of peace over me. He knows me better than anyone, and I’m able to lean into Him fully, expecting to be heard, even though I’m silent. Because He is God and abides in me, He is able to hear my cry that needs to be stilled.
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
