Evening Prayer ~ March 23

Prayer is the passport to peace

A little fear is good for us when danger is present, but a lot of it is demoralizing.  It takes away the hope, the dream, the vision, the possibility of overcoming . . .

Charles Swindoll1

Uproar is the antonym for peace. Another is war. And our world is both in an uproar and at war with one another.  God told us this would happen in His Word, but still. It’s hard to see people killed because of terrorists. We need peace in our messed up world so much. Our Evening Prayer asks God to flood our world with peace, and I want  to add that He flood our souls with peace tonight too. That even in the chaos, that our prayers are indeed our passport to peace.

May the Lord give strength to his people! May the Lord bless his people with peace!

Psalm 29:112
