Evening Prayer ~ Trusting God

Prayer brings us to God for His help.

It’s your trust in God that makes you strong, not anything you can do on your own.1

Tragedy strikes, but you have to be strong. The wind is knocked out of you, but you must stay steady for others. You try to be brave, but you just want to cry. Friend, the more you insist you’re an unshakable mountain of strength, the more likely you are to crumble. If you really want to be strong for those around you, then direct them to God and be honest about how He helps you in your weakness. So go ahead and weep, but also trust God to be strong enough for you- and everyone else as well.1

Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,
which cannot be moved, but abides forever.2

Psalm 125:1
