6 Reminders of Hope

“Hope is that special glimmer in the back of your mind that keeps you going when life seems to crush  in around you.”

I saw this saying on the internet and liked it a lot, but also thought about how the Holy Spirit is the special glimmer for me! In truth, He’s beyond a glimmer: He’s there all of the time, abiding in my soul.

We need hope in our lives every day and the Lord knew that . . .  after all He created us, right? When the tough times hit, and they always do, I’ve found the best thing I can do is go to the Word of God for help in overcoming the trials, tests, and sorrows.

One of my favorite verses reminds me to keep love at the forefront of my heart and to continue hoping is 1 Corinthians 13:7.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

It’s so easy to allow the enemy of our souls to bring us down, to pour discouragement into our minds, and to make us feel worthless.  God is stronger than he who tries to tempt us to fall into a black cloud. God sent His Holy Spirit to help us, encourage us, and lead us in the way we should go.

If you’re experiencing a tough day,  here are six little joy reminders for your day.

#1: A promise

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. – Jeremiah 29:11

#2: A reminder

 #3: Rest

#4: Strength

#5: A filling

#6: A prayer
