The Key To Restoration

Are You Experiencing Brokenness or the Key to Restoration?

Today on the radio as I listened to a song by Johnnyswim called, Diamonds, the lyrics sank in as the singer talked about how diamonds typically come out through the dust, and about how in the ashes we learn to be immovable.

So, the question that came to mind was this, “Is it brokenness or is it the key to the restoration inside lingering to shine like a diamond?” I think the key to that answer comes in how I allow my mind to see the outcome.

Often in life, the key to the restoration, or, the key that unlocks the growth, strength, refinement, and healing, comes when we can be open with others about our struggles, our stresses, and the hard things we may be going through in life.

And not only other people but God as well. The one who knows our every struggle, pain, joy, and emotion will meet you right where you are, but for that to happen, you have to allow him to meet you where you are today and right now.

True healing comes in our ability to experience vulnerability.

It is less about ignoring the cuts, and more about letting them bleed out in order that the doctor may be able to work through them. If we don’t show our cuts, how can they ever be surgically repaired?

For our hearts to be completely refined and find deeper healing, we must allow ourselves to open it up to the light, so that the Prince of peace may be able to enlighten it until it shines brighter and brighter to outshine a diamond.

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people”

Ephesians 1:18
