Love bears all things
This short line, yet magnificent statement speaks so loudly and can apply to almost any and every situation.
But what does it mean?
Let’s look at the word “bears.” It means to “support, protect, take up, shield, etc.”
Galatians 6:2 says,
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
Loving through everything means standing up for other people, protecting them, exchanging their old worn out shoes for your new ones, and being there for them in everything.
This kind of love is perfect, yet it has an imperfect journey. But through Jesus, we can love other people better, love their broken places even more, and develop a deeper grace for those we find around us.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Loving freely comes in deeper understanding of just how much our father in heaven loves us, too. Loving others comes naturally as an outpouring of what our heavenly father is pouring on us, too.
Love prevails above judgement.
Love keeps constant at all times.
Love breaks all the barriers.
When we use division in a math problem, the product is less than the numbers being divided. This is also true when we don’t love with the power that God loves us, too. Division is found when we allow how we feel about something or somebody to overpower the oxygen inhaled by the love of Christ.
Unity between people is the primary symbol of truly loving them through everything, no matter where they’ve been or who they are. Love always shields against the attacks and lies we may face from time to time, and love triumphs above all things. It is the single most important thing in the human race and the best attitude to carry, yet, we need God to be able to love with everything we have.
