You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power;
It’s so important to stop making excuses why we do not take time to worship the Lord. Oh, we can find so many, can’t we? And yet if we were to see our lives through the eyes of the Lord, would we have plenty of time to spend it with Him instead of the many distractions that edge our “God-time” out?
I use several devotional books in the course of my day and My Heart For His Glory is one of my favorites. Here is an excerpt from February 28th:
“As we honor God, we discover a great mystery of the Christian life: If we’re willing to overcome the obstacles to worship (whether our schedule or problems that arise), God will take care of the things that kept us from it. Will these statements be true for you?
♥ I’m going to enjoy God whether or not I have all the answers to my problems.
♥ I’m going to put Him first whether or not it means I get my stuff done today.
♥ I’m going to take the next step whether or not I know where it will lead.
That’s living by faith! Come and adore Him!”
