Verse of the Day ~ November 17, 2015

Psalm 95:1

Psalm 95:1

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord;
let us make a joyful noise
to the rock of our salvation!

The first time I ever read Psalm 95 I was 20 years old and had never read any Psalm except for Psalm 23. I was so touched with the words of praise! As I read, it was as though I was joining the Psalmist in a celebration of emotions and worship . . . I will never forget the joy I felt that day so long ago.

Worship involves connecting with God and responding out of joy and delight. We find significance in worship because it magnifies God, enlarges horizons, eclipses fears, changes perspectives, and refreshes spirits.

So, as  I practice the presence of the Lord every moment, I find I am able to praise Him even though I can’t carry a tune.  My heart sings a melody that is sweet to Him as I worship Him with my whole being and that is how I make my joyful noise!
