Verse of the Day
For from His fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.
The first time this verse entered my life was at Thanksgiving in 1999. I’m sure I’d seen it before, but you know how easy it is to read and not pay attention. I love the term grace upon grace, and it feels that is what my life is about: receiving all of the grace God has to bestow on me. I sure don’t deserve it and haven’t earned it. It’s His gift to me. And to you.
My friend Linda and I were in a group at lunch today, and we were talking about the blessings of the Lord and how they are unique in each of our lives. We should never compare anyone else’s blessings to ours. We have the perfect fit from our God who gives us His grace upon grace.
I am thankful.
