Verse of the Day ~Psalm 18:2

Verse of the Day

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge,my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Psalm 18:2

God is so much; He is so great! Without Him, my life would be meaningless, and after an unwanted divorce ten years ago, I wondered if God could ever use me. I guess He showed me the answer is yes!

Today someone asked if I write my Verse of the Day articles as a devotional. And I said I suppose they are, but as I thought about it, it’s more how God is speaking to me that day through His Word. If I took the same verse next year, it might mean something different to me. But I never try to fit my emotions to His Word. Rather, I trust His Word to speak to my emotions.

Does that make sense? I hope so. I hold onto His Word with all my being: He is my rock, my fortress, my deliverer, and I take refuge in Him, as He is my shield, protecting me. He is my horn of salvation and my stronghold.  God never lets me down; He always understands me and wants the best for my life.

You have made Verse of the Day the most popular article on Joyful Times Today because you love His word and how it is alive. When you share it with your friends, they share it with theirs, and the verse of the day circulates Facebook and other social platforms. Thank you so much for being a partner with me in sharing spiritual encouragement. We can high-five in heaven, but for now, consider yourself hugged.
