Verse of the Day ~1 Corinthians 2:9

Verse of the Day

But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him.”

1 Corinthians 2:9

I find it amazing that the God of all creation would prepare something for me simply because I love Him. Think about that! It’s a gift for loving Him when I should be giving Him a gift for loving me.

I’ve always misinterpreted this verse to mean all the things I can’t imagine in Heaven, but I’ve learned it’s talking about wisdom. We can’t see God’s wisdom naturally, or hear it, or even find it in our heart. But God has prepared for each of us wisdom that is not of the world . . . it’s a gift for those who love Him.

While it’s going to be hard for me to switch gears and apply this verse correctly, I do know in heaven we have no comprehension of what God has in store for us. But that’s a verse for another day very soon.Verse of the Day
