Verse of the Day
Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
I sometimes need to ask the Lord to help me look for ways to serve His kingdom and not serve my own desires. Actually, I want them to mesh together like the beauty and aroma of a sweet carnation, and I don’t want my life to be divided in two, but want to experience every day as a way to serve God, with joy, laughter, seriousness, and wisdom. I want to be one of those women whose tombstone says “She Loved God Much.”
What I don’t want is to be one of those women people run from because they think I will preach a sermon with a picket sign that says “the end is near.” I want to be the light and attract people to the Lord of my life because I show what an incredible experience it is to be loved by God. So, really, I want to set my heart on His Kingdom, not my own.
