Verse of the Day
Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you;
He will never permit the righteous to be moved.
When I was a young girl, my dad taught me to fish. I don’t remember a lot except that I hated putting the worms on, hated cleaning the fish, but loved eating the trout we caught. And I remember how dad taught me to cast the line.
Every time I see a Bible verse with the word cast, I think of dad’s instructions . . . And my Father asking me to cast burdens, cares, and anxiety on Him. Isn’t it amazing He wants to take those things from us and carry them Himself?
Tonight as I post this, I’m feeling an overwhelming amount of disappointment, hurt, and bewilderment.
And even when I am tempted to play the feelings brought about by someone I love, I’m not going to. I will cast these feelings onto the Lord and trust He will take care of me and guide me as I work on forgiveness and a fresh start.
