Verse of the Day ~ Micah 6:8

Verse of the Day

And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Micah 6:8

Our verse of the day hangs on my wall and reminds me of these three things: act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly.

Which of these are the hardest for you to do? For me, it is to love mercy. Oh, don’t get me wrong: I love God’s mercy. I just am learning where the fine line is in showing mercy. I help out the poor through my church, adopted a young man in Uganda through A Imperfect Injustice, and give when asked to give to families and homeless that are hurting. It’s the beggars I have trouble with. The people who don’t want to work, just want to collect money on the corners. I’m weak in mercy in this area, but trust the Holy Spirit to guide me.
