Verse of the Day
“For you shall go out in joy
and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and the hills before you
shall break forth into singing,
and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.”
Our verse of the day has been a favorite of mine since I was in high school. As an artist and visual learner, I love thinking about the mountains and hills singing, the trees clapping their hands in a joyful celebration.
In contrast, there are joy-stealers that lurk around every corner of your life. Their names are fear, worry, anxiety, comparison, gossip, greed . . . you get the idea. They are tools of the enemy, and they are designed to cause havoc in your life, so you take your eyes off the Lord. With confidence, I share with you that they can’t unless you allow them to take over. It’s as simple as that: you and I have a choice. I vote for joy.
