Verse of the Day
Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love,
for in you I trust.
Make me know the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul.
Indecisive, I had no idea which way to go when it was time to select my college major. I love learning, and many vocations sounded fantastic to me. While I prayed often, God didn’t make anything clear, so I enrolled in Social Work. I believe in waiting on His leading, but when He’s not clear, I think we need to move forward, trusting Him to change our direction if needed.
After a year, I realized I didn’t want to work in that field so switched to Family Life Education with an emphasis on adult learning. It was an exciting area, but I still didn’t feel this was quite the fit. However, one year later, God revealed His plans for me: Christian Ministries became my focus, and it fit like a glove. What’s interesting is the Social Work and Family Life Education are fitting in the glove too . . . all my classes built on one another.
My point to this story is God doesn’t always make everything crystal clear immediately. But as we lean on Him as we move down the path, He’ll redirect us and get us to the point He wants us to be. Our mission is to trust Him.
