Verse of the Day
You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
Do you remember the day you were first aware that there was something or someone bigger than your own existence? Not everyone has a particular date, but maybe, like me, it’s a time frame. I was in high school when I first heard about Jesus being more than a distant person in history. To be honest, I was both surprised at the Young Life meeting I attended, and also a part of me felt like a missing piece of a puzzle had been found – even though I didn’t know it was lost or how to fit it into the right place.
It took me over 14 months to finally comprehend what it meant to accept Jesus as my Lord, making Him my personal Savior, and not everyone’s else’s in history. I was seeking without grasping, and the leaders were so patient and prayed for me often. One day the light came on after hearing another student’s testimony at a YL camp. I don’t remember her words, just that she helped me cross the line from sinner to forgiven – from lost to found. If you’re still seeking, leave me a message so we can chat, and I’ll send you an email. I’d love to be your guide . . . we can follow Jesus together.
Shoot me an email and we can keep it personal. Joyfultimestoday@gmail.com. I’m the only one who will read it.
